Vibe Console is a macOS terminal IDE built for developers who work with AI coding tools like Claude Code and Codex CLI.
What It Does
Most developers using AI coding tools end up with a mess of terminal windows. Vibe Console puts everything in one place:
- Multi-terminal workspace — up to 9 terminals in tabs or grid view
- Project management — context files that persist across sessions
- AI tool switching — switch between Claude Code and Codex CLI from the toolbar
Why We Built It
We were using Claude Code daily and kept running into the same friction: too many terminal windows, losing context between sessions, retyping the same prompts. Vibe Console started as a personal tool to fix that.
Core Features
- AGENTS.md — instructions your AI tools read automatically
- STRUCTURE.json — project layout context for better AI responses
- Saved Prompts — one-click paste your most-used prompts
- Git Integration — staged changes, branches, and diffs built in
- Plugin System — extend with JavaScript plugins
Open Source
Vibe Console is free and open source under the MIT license. No accounts, no subscriptions.
